Despite a poor performance against West Ham, Clyne returned to his consistent form against Middlesbrough, setting up Adam Lallana’s goal with a clever cross. He’s one of the most reliable players in the team, and gets the job done well in his position. I think since arriving I’ve only criticised him twice, which is a brilliant sign of how often he performs well.
