Liverpool couldn’t have asked for a better start to the match, but a slight elapse in concentration by keeper Simon Mignolet, meant Liverpool and Chelsea had to share the honors.

Liverpool had over enough chances to grant them all three points and so did Chelsea. After being ordained the villain, Simon become the hero of the match,  by saving a Costa penalty in the final minutes of the game.

Many positives to take, but the negative of not having a “Plan B”, still looms over last night’s performance by the Reds.

With the team back to full strength and a point taken from the Premier League leaders, I would say now is a good time to turn things around for Klopp and the boys.

Liverpool had it all to play for last night, especially with the other teams in around the top four dropping points in the Tuesday night fixtures.
