Liverpool, the only team out the top-six who have played 30 games. Both Man United and the Gunners have two games in hand. The two teams sitting above Liverpool, Chelsea and Spurs, have a game in hand, and so does Man City, who are in 4th place.

Realistically, Liverpool can only catch Spurs in their pursuit of a top-four spot. It would take Chelsea an awful lot to lose that league position to Liverpool.

They are cruising nicely in the driver’s seat at the summit of the table with seven points clear. Whereas Liverpool is hot on Spur’s heels, with only three points separating the two. Man City only a point behind with that important game in hand.

The three teams below the top four, Man Untied, Arsenal, and Everton respectively. All of them are in this race. Everton with an outside chance and the Gunner’s having an advantage of two games in hand. Stands as a massive positive for a team with a manager in hot water.

Liverpool sits nicely in 3rd place, but the way the season has gone before reaching this stage. We have a lot more surprises to come.

Liverpool’s April Fixtures:

Liverpool – 3rd Place Home vs Away
05-Apr Liverpool vs Bournemouth
08-Apr Stoke City vs Liverpool
16-Apr West Brom vs Liverpool
23-Apr Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Liverpool’s run the easiest out of the lot, but by no means a straightforward run of three points each game. Liverpool having played all of the top seven teams, after beating Everton this weekend, have their toughest challenge yet, the bottom of the table teams.

Playing the bottom of the table teams, normally Liverpool’s kryptonite in the EPL. Liverpool have a tough run in its own right. Important we continue playing the football on display. Even more important to win the games, we play ugly football in.

Liverpool can undoubtedly win all their matches for April, but realistically, considering reverse fixtures and current form, Liverpool’s best total should be 9 points from the possible 12 up for the taking.

Liverpool has beaten, West Brom at home, Crystal Palace away, and Stoke City away. Making the Bournemouth defeat the only one out of the four teams LFC face this month.

With all the other teams around them having a game or two in hand as an advantage. As long as we keep winning and do not drop points, we will apply the necessary pressure needed to the other teams fighting for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place. 5th place is just not an option for Liverpool!
