Liverpool’s player ratings in Watford away win: 1 goal enough to see us take 3 points
Liverpool sees out Watford to an unusual clean sheet. With a smashing goal on one end and some great goalkeeping on the other. Klopp and the men in red take 3 points on a weekend working in our favour.
Liverpool blessed with a wizard, who outstandingly stole the show with a monstrous overhead goal! Emre Can did enough to convince the rest of the team to do their jobs around the pitch. The defensive work was almost as exquisite as Emre’s finish for all the points.
Sad to see another important player go off limping and happy to see another one step back into action. Hopefully, Philippe Coutinho’s injury isn’t too serious and he ends the season playing all of the remaining matches.
Klopp continues his impressive stat of not losing two in a row with this Watford victory. One can easily say, this was a far better display than last week’s setback. When the team keeps that odd clean sheet and takes advantage of the points dropped around us. I am more than impressed with their improvement this season.
Take nothing away from Watford in return. They were inches away from a draw and stealing a point. A series of nail-biting episodes in the dying moments of the game. Hard fought and well deserved. Match Stats:
