Liverpool play their first preseason fixture on Wednesday against Tranmere Rovers. We have the full list of 2017/18 preseason fixtures for you.
We are less than a week away from seeing Liverpool play. Our preseason fixtures kick of next week against Tranmere Rovers at Prenton Park. Last year we beat Rovers 1-0 with a late Danny Ings goal. Many first teamers were on display that day including bows for Mane, Matip and Karius. Could we see Solanke and Salah next Wednesday? We have the full rundown of our eight preseason games.
The preseason begins with two away games to lower league opposition to warm up. The short trips to Tranmere and Wigan will all be about fitness. We should see plenty of rotation and most of the squad over these two games.
The team then step it up a level by traveling to Hong Kong to compete in the Barclays Asia Trophy. This is a four team competition of Premier League teams. We play Crystal Palace on Wednesday 19th before facing either West Brom or Leicester on Saturday 22nd.
Then our attention turns to European opposition as we prepare for our return to the Champions League this season. We face Hertha Berlin in the German capital before heading over to Munich to compete in the Audi Cup. We start by playing hosts Bayern Munich before facing either Napoli or Athletico Madrid on Wednesday 2nd August. The preseason finishes at Anfield where we lineup against Athletic Bilbao one week before our Premier League season begins against Watford. Here is the full line up:
