While Liverpool are looking to finalize huge summer signings here is a list of five world-class talents from years past we seriously regret missing out on:

Am I the only one starting to get a little frustrated by the summer’s transfer dealings? It had all started so positively with news reports circulating that we have mountains of cash to spend and a line up of world-class stars desperate to pull on the red shirt and be under the guidance of Sir Jürgen Klopp. But with the groveling apology made to Southampton over the illegal approach to Virgil Van Dijk , the ongoing Naby Keita saga and the on off deal of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on top of the fact Everton are spending more than we are it’s looking like being another crappy, depressing summer in the transfer market.

But if you have supported LFC  long enough you will know that this is nothing new. Here is a list of the top five players that very nearly graced the hallowed turf of Anfield and the reasons they decided to choose other pastures.
