5 World Class players: Dele Alli

In a recent article, Britain’s Independent Newspaper looked at a report by the CIES Football Observatory, which valued the 110 best players in the world. Dele Alli was not only in it but his valuation was a whopping 155.1 million EUD, Four million more than Lionel Messi.

What did Tottenham sign him for? 5 million GBP? What an investment. Well guess what? Liverpool actually had first dibs on signing him when he left MK Dons. Apparently Alli is a mad Liverpool fan. He even came down to the club, had a tour and met manager Brendan Rodgers who was keen to get the youngster on board. But, due to financial restraints at the club or the lack of balls to take a risk on a player from the lower leagues, we missed out on another superstar.

‘There was interest in the player, but where it got to was that the demands at that time were not fitting to what he had achieved at that point,’ explained Anfield CEO Ian Ayre.

‘We didn’t feel the player matched that demand.’

But Lazar Markovic and Mario Balotelli did?????????

Anyway guys there is still a few weeks left in this summers transfer market. Hopefully Master Jürgen can work his magic and we will be ready and raring to go come August.
