Liverpool came away with a stunning 4-0 win against Arsenal at Anfield in the Premier League. Here are our Liverpool player ratings:

After the thrill of qualifying for the Champions League group stages we were straight back into Premier League action. This was the biggest test of the season so far against one of our rivals.

The shocking news before the game was manager Jürgen Klopp’s decision to drop Simon Mignolet from the match-day squad and start Loris Karius with Danny Ward on the bench. Klopp explained before the match that he was not ‘dropped’ so much as ‘rested’. However, it doesn’t make sense to rest a keeper with an international break coming up. We’ll see how that situation develops.

The other change from Wednesday night was that Joe Gomez got the nod ahead of Trent Alexander-Arnold at right back. The manager going with the size and strength of Gomez with TAA suffering a dead leg against Hoffenheim.

There was some optimism for a good result today after our display in the Champions League. It was all justified as we crushed Arsenal. The Gunners are struggling right now and Klopp’s men showed no mercy.  Read our player ratings here:

Liverpool Player Ratings – Goalkeeper

The big worries were a couple of moments where he received backpasses and was unable to deal with them. Welbeck got the ball off him the first time. The only scary moments in an otherwise panic-less game for the Reds.. Goalkeeper. Liverpool. LORIS KARIUS
