A hefty chunk of transfer news has presented itself to Liverpool FC fans in the last 48 hours. What is Klopp’s strategy moving forward?

Since Jurgen Klopp took over as Liverpool manager in 2015, he’s made a pretty huge impact on both the squad and the fans.

After Brendan Rodgers almost took Liverpool to Premier League glory back in the 2012/13 season, he also became the main reason for their gradual demise. The club hasn’t been the same since their narrow top-of-the-table miss and Luis Suarez’s departure to Barcelona.

The Reds are yet to win any silverware under Klopp that wasn’t earned during the pre-season but that doesn’t mean to say the team hasn’t drastically improved.

Klopp discarded a lot of deadweight from the squad. Including Joe Allen who has flourished with Stoke City, Mario Balotelli and Christian Benteke – who were both panic signings by Rodgers.

After making some breathing space in the team, he also brought in some supreme signings that have changed the entire way Liverpool think and behave.

An untouchable strike force

Last season, Tottenham Hotspur undoubtedly had the best forward attack in the Premier League. Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen were unstoppable. But this time round there’s some new boys in town.

Despite Philippe Coutinho still out of the team, Liverpool have seemed to excel without the Brazilian. The Reds’ forward fleet is the hottest in the league right now. Close to, if not at the same level as Barcelona’s Trident. If the Trident was still in tact, that is.

Sadio Mané and Mohammed Salah have shook the whole of the UK as two truly world-class and dangerous transfers.

The African wingers just get better and better as the games go on – even ex-Red John Arne Riise has thanked his lucky stars he never has to encounter the lads on the pitch.
