Ovie Ejaria

Did Arsenal slip up with Ovie Ejaria? The midfielder was told he wasn’t good enough by the Gunners’ chief and was promptly snapped up by Liverpool.

He’s described himself in the Liverpool Echo as a no. 8 or no.10 who likes to play through the middle. Ejaria has been used out wide, but views his natural position as in the middle.

The 19-year-old has already made eight appearances for the first team and it’s not hard to see Klopp using him for cup games.

But at his age, wouldn’t it be better to see him flourish down the leagues on a loan spell before coming back to the club a more complete player?
