Liverpool fans have reacted to Jurgen Klopp’s squad decision for the Manchester City game on Saturday.

The German gaffer was talking to the press ahead of the fixture when he dropped the bomb that Philippe Coutinho would not feature against the Citizens – as per Sky Sports.

Coutinho has been trying to orchestrate a move to Spanish giants Barcelona all summer and Klopp has decided to give him another week to get his head right before featuring for the Reds.

This news comes despite the fact that the attacker was deemed fit, ready and willing to feature for Brazil during the World Cup qualifiers international breaks.

Kop regulars probably won’t be that surprised by the news. It was unlikely Coutinho would be picked in the starting XI, but a substitute appearance wouldn’t have been beyond the realms of imagination.

Klopp mentioned the 25-year-old’s mood and claimed he was in a good mental state, reported  – but indicated he could be in line to feature during the upcoming fixtures.

“He was in a very good mood and training was even better,” the website said the manager explained.

“But I had to make a decision. We have seven games in the next three weeks so there will never be time really to train.

“I decided to leave him out of the squad for City. We can use these four or five days for real and proper training,” concluded Klopp.

The side has hardly missed the Brazilian during the first three games of the season and the attacking line-up has basically picked itself.

But that doesn’t mean that Liverpool fans are happy about the decision, check below to see how they chose to vent their rage on Twitter.

With Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in such good form they could terrorise any defence in the division and Coutinho may have to fight hard to regain his place in the starting XI.
