Following the updates on Liverpool new boy, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks like he’s settling in perfectly at Anfield already.

It’s no secret that Chamberlain has always been a fan of Liverpool FC . Admiring Steven Gerrard since he was young and even aspiring to be just like him. But watching the new transfer make his way around Anfield and Melwood is like watching a little boy on Christmas morning.

The LFC Twitter account has been updating fans with the Ox’s progress during his first few days at the club. The lad himself has been tweeting regularly, showing how pleased he is to have finally made the Merseyside move.

True passion

After a heartfelt tribute to his former club, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been pictured sporting a huge grin in his freshly printed Liverpool shirts.

I’ve never seen a player quite so excited to join a club before – with exception to most youth players. Ox’s enthusiasm is spreading and fans worldwide are ecstatic to have him on board.

A large percentage of Kopites were disappointed with his signing originally. Mostly deflated from the failed van Dijk and Lemar signings. A lot have drawn attention to Chamberlain’s less than impressive stats whilst at Arsenal. But after seeing his passion for Liverpool, a lot of minds have been changed.

What Ox can offer the Reds

With just 9 goals throughout his six-year career with Arsenal, football fans are judging the London lad heavily. But the last thing Liverpool need more of is goals. What the Reds are lacking is creativity and diversity in midfield.

The likes of Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum are both guilty of going missing during games. Klopp needs more players that he can bring on to help shape the weaker aspects of the team.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is definitely a player that can provide versatility and chance creation to the team. His close friendships with Adam Lallana, Daniel Sturridge and the skipper may well prove a vital asset to his play, as well.
