Another bargain signing, another Anfield hero in the making. John Arne Riise was bought for just £4m from Monaco in 2001 and repaid that a thousand times over.
With 348 games under his belt and 31 goals, the full-back was immense going forward and at the back.
His last couple of years at Liverpool weren’t as fruitful as his past had been, culminating in a 90th minute own goal against Chelsea in the 2008 Champions League semi-final.
