Liverpool fans have reacted with fury to the news that Sadio Mane will be banned for three domestic games.
The FA met to judge whether or not the Senegalese international should have his ban reduced and decided to uphold the original sanction, said the BBC.
That means Mane will not be available for selection against Burnley and Leicester City in the league and the Foxes in the League Cup.
The attacker was given his marching orders for a high, reckless challenge on Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson, which resulted in him leaving the pitch on a stretcher.
If anything, it means that Mane will definitely be selected for the Champions League clash against Sevilla on Wednesday night as manager Jurgen Klopp will not need to worry about fitness concerns in the following weeks.
Despite a flurry of condemnation for the ban from ex-professionals as well as those still involved in the game, said the website, the FA have chosen to stick by the original sanction.

No surprises there then - The FA are as dire as the rest of footballs governing bodies at least there's some consistency with that

Inconsistencies in the way the laws of the game are a constant frustration to everyone involved in, and who loves, football.
