Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw in the Champions League group stage against Sevilla. Here are our Liverpool player ratings:

A draw that feels like a loss. Hard to stomach tying a game after leading and missing a penalty. More defensive errors and lapses in concentration combining to undermine all the high quality of our attacking play.

The mood for the game was very positive despite Saturday’s 5-0 loss to Manchester City. European nights are back at Anfield and the Kop was buzzing to see the Reds back in the Champions League.

Despite an early goal to Sevilla the mood stayed good before two Liverpool goals from Firmino and Salah got the place bouncing again. The penalty miss took some sting out of the fast half but Reds were overall happy with how the game was going.

We did not make the most of some good situations in the second half and paid the price with an equalizing goal coming through the center. The central defensive pairings are quickly moving from liability to catastrophe.
