Liverpool Player Ratings: Forwards

7. Much speculation before they game about if he would play as he missed training yesterday with an illness. But he started and he scored. A constant threat on the right. He kept the Sevilla defense pinned back, defending much deeper than they would like and was always an available outlet.. Right Forward. Liverpool. MOHAMED SALAH

7. Finished the move for the first goal with a simple finish. Hit the post with his penalty which could have killed the game early and ended up costing us two points. Dropping in, holding it up, feeding the wingers. We almost take for granted how well he does those things.. Center Forward. Liverpool. ROBERTO FIRMINO

7. Just a great player. People talk all the time about his pace and strength but it is his decision making and movement that elevated him above his peers. Did very well to win the penalty by forcing a handball, a shirt tug and a trip from the Sevilla defender.. Left Forward. Liverpool. SADIO MANE

Substitutes:

Philippe Coutinho – 6

On for Can immediately after the Sevilla goal. Perhaps a sign he should have started.

Daniel Sturridge – 6

Sturridge came on for his first Champions League appearance for Liverpool. Sadio Mane made way which is a strange one with him being suspended.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 6

On for Salah who was our biggest threat. Did not have enough time to get into the game.
