As Jürgen Klopp addressed the media ahead of Liverpool’s game with Spartak Moscow he spoke about a number of topics. He was asked about Liverpool’s defense, Philippe Coutinho and a potential Liverpool transfer.

When asked about how to improve the defense he referred to his answer in stock; it is a team responsibility. The emphasis he gave was on improving the unity and togetherness of the team rather than concentrating on individuals.
Fans would like to hear more about those specifics. But the reality that as the games come twice a week there will be little time for any overhaul of the system or defensive coaching.
Replying to a question about Philippe Coutinho he spoke about his return from the injuries and illnesses that kept him out of the early games. While we all thought that was all a smokescreen to help a move to Barcelona it appears that there may have been some legitimate issues. Two early substitutions last week would confirm that.
He was then asked about the quality of Quincy Promes and the rumors of the club’s interest in the Spartak Moscow winger. While he spoke about Promes’ ability as a player he shrugged the opportunity to feed those rumors by refusing to say anymore.
