Joe Gomez OVA 70 // POT 82

Is it worrying that a player who only rates 70 is already a key member of Liverpool’s defence this season?

Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. But former Charlton Athletic man Joe Gomez can become even better and occupy a starting role for years to come.

Gomez can cover the entire back four and with good acceleration, sprint and strength attributes the defender can dominate in full-back or central defence.

The 20-year-old does need to do some work on marking, standing and sliding tackles – but that will come over time.
