England fans have turned on Liverpool midfielders Jordan Henderson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain after their display against Slovenia.
The Three Lions struggled to beat the Central European nation at Wembley and only won thanks to a 94th minute goal from Tottenham Hotspur hitman Harry Kane.
Henderson started alongside Spurs defensive midfielder Eric Dier and barely-used Red Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Mirror gave the former Sunderland man a terrible rating of 4/10, the Daily Mail were kinder with a 6/10 while the Telegraph placed itself in between its rival publications and awarded the midfielder a 5/10.

The latter wrote about the midfielder: “More questions are being raised with every England game over Henderson’s role in the team. Next to Dier, who holds, Henderson needs to look forwards more often with his passing.”
Meanwhile, Oxlade-Chamberlain was handed a 4/10, 5/10 and 3/10 respectively as the ex-Arsenal man capped off a terrible night for his country.
The former said of the Ox: “His crisis of confidence at club level affected him badly. Very poor, subbed early.”
Both of them may have to do it all again on Sunday as Gareth Southgate’s team take on Lithuania, although will qualification for the World Cup in Russia secured he may opt to field a vastly different team.

Jordan Henderson giving hope to all young players watching, that they too can play for England, even if they aren't very good at football.

The fact Oxlade-Chamberlain is starting for England tells you everything about English mentality. Quick & strong, you've got half a chance

Strangely for Oxlade-Chamberlain, the game against Slovenia would have been seen as a chance to impress Jurgen Klopp and force his way into the starting line-up for the Manchester United clash.

But Klopp would have been less than happy with what he saw – from both players, although Oxlade-Chamberlain is the one with the most to gain from any good performances.
