Liverpool fans have reacted to Mohamed Salah‘s spine tingling performance for Egypt against Congo.

The forward scored two goals, including a 94th minute penalty, to send the Pharaohs to the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

It will be the African countries’ first since 1990 and understandably Twitter reacted with joy to the spine tingling performance put in by Salah.

The former AS Roma man already had a heavenly status within the country, which will now be elevated to one of almost eternal worship.

Salah is loved far and wide across Egypt and is their best player by miles, something that is goal scoring record of 32 in 56 games speaks of.

After flopping at Chelsea, the 25-year-old showed everyone his true class in Italy with Roma and now he’s showing he can hack it in one of the world’s best leagues by taking the Premier League by storm.

Salah will face Manchester United on the 14th in a huge game. It’s not just because of the massive rivarly between the two sides, Liverpool also need to start beating the other ‘big’ teams if they are going to show that they can challenge for the title.

But back to last night’s scenes because they are so historic, scroll down to read how ecstatic fans have been reacting.

But before getting his feet back on domestic soil, the Egypt international deserves to be hailed as a king and will be looking forward to taking them to Russia next summer.

A hero has already emerged from the ashes of the qualifying campaign, but perhaps the forward can write his names into the folklore even further by taking the country out of the group stages and beyond.
