The injury is terrible timing for Liverpool who badly need to get a big win under their belt. The attack has been stuttering of late and with only one win in the last seven games Liverpool need a huge performance against Manchester United on Saturday.

It has looked as if the Reds would have the advantage with injuries going into the Premier League clash with their rivals. United are missing Paul Pogba and Marouane Fellaini and the bookies had made Liverpool the favorites to win this game.

Now the Reds are going to have face this match, and the next month or so, without their best player. There is much discussion about who should replace Mane in the Liverpool lineup. Many are expecting Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to get an opportunity. Others are calling for one of the youngsters like Dominic Solanke or Ben Woodburn to be given their reward for good performances.
