Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno has scored a scorpion goal in training and fans are not happy.

With the Reds’ problems in defense, you’d think getting Moreno practising at the other end of the pitch would be a priority for manager Jurgen Klopp?

But in a clip posted on the club’s Twitter page, the Spaniard is shown connecting with a cross into the box and scorpion kicking it past a statuesque Loris Karius into the back of the net.

To be honest it wasn’t even a very good connection and it certainly wasn’t as good as Olivier Giroud or Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s efforts last campaign.

And really the Liverpool fans reactions are probably a little bit hyperbolic, this is just one snap shot from training and Moreno may have just been having a little mess about.

But it does raise questions about the pre-Manchester United preparation carried out by Klopp and his team, who will be tested by Manchester United on Saturday.

The Anfield mob have been poor at the back this campaign and will need every single defender to be on their best game. Moreno will probably be picked ahead of Scotland international Andrew Robertson – he’s played five of the seven league games so far.

Although with two days to go until the massive game, there is still time to drill the defense until they’re blue in the face. Or maybe the Spaniard fancies himself as Sadio Mane‘s replacement on the left wing?
