7. Dominated the midfield today and kept Mkhitaryan anonymous throughout the first half. Kept the ball moving and getting us into space. One stray pass – after a host of very good ones – inevitably sent the Twitter Hendo haters nuts. He continues to be a very good player against the Top 6 clubs. Needs that passion and aggression on a weekly basis.. Center Midfield. Liverpool. JORDAN HENDERSON
EMRE CAN. 7. Without Pogba and Fellaini the physical midfield battle was easily won by Can. Had a wonderful chance in the early part of the second half that he hit badly over from a wonderful Joe Gomez cross. Started the game deep with Henderson but as United retreated he was able to go forward and impose himself on them. If only he had hit the target and he would have been the game’s hero…. Liverpool. GINI WIJNALDUM. 8. Anfield Wijnaldum is the best Wijnaldum. The best central midfielder on the pitch. Full of drive and energy. The hungriest player in the side today and it was great to see. Stole the ball numerous times from the United midfield. Drove forward, made great runs and created chances. Absolutely boss today..
