Thomas Lemar

Liverpool have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Monaco forward Thomas Lemar – in the form of their president’s words.

The Daily Mail wrote that vice president Vadim Vasilyev admitted that there was a good chance the French international will leave the club in the summer.

Both Arsenal and the Reds made massive bids for Lemar in the summer, but ultimately the deal didn’t end up going through.

And with the possible departure of Coutinho (reported earlier), the club will have the money to burn on a player like the youngster.

Lemar has played seven league games for Monaco this campaign, scoring no goals but setting up two assists.
