He is a natural attacker and against weaker opposition is crucial for spreading the defense and creating room for Mohamed Salah to exploit. Got his second European goal for the Reds tonight.. Another good game for Matip and another clean sheet. Those things are not coincidental. I am starting to worry about how many minutes Matip has played this season but there will be no respite for him this weekend as we head to Wembley to play Tottenham Hotspur.. Center Back. Liverpool. 7. Keep going Dejan. Two good performances in a row from the maligned Croatian. He looked a class above the Maribor attackers and kept the line well. It would be an enormous boost to Liverpool if the Matip/Lovren partnership can continue it’s form from these last two games.. Center Back. Liverpool. DEJAN LOVREN

8. His revival continued today as he took advantage of little Maribor attacking threat to some attacking of his own. He got an assist for Salah’s second and was a consistent option on the left. Towards the end of the game we had both full backs all the way up with the forwards giving us 5 up front. Fine by me.. Left Back. Liverpool. ALBERTO MORENO
