EMRE CAN. 4. Was unable to impose himself in midfield before becoming a make shift right back after Dejan Lovren was taken off for AOC. Gave away a should free kick on the stroke of halft time which we failed to defend, effectively killing the game. One of those days where you really wouldn’t mind if he packed off to Juventus in January.. Center Midfield. Liverpool

5. Rewarded for his performance against Maribor with a Premier League start as Wijnaldum missed the game with a knee injury. The younger, more energetic Spurs midfield exposed Milner’s lack of pace.
