Liverpool Player Ratings: Forwards

The only source of worry for Spurs. He was threat every time the ball came his way. Made a great run to get on the end of Henderson’s wonderful pass and put a calm finish perfectly into the bottom corner. Continued his strong start to his Liverpool career. The lone bright spot from today’s game.. Right Forward. Liverpool. MOHAMED SALAH. 7

Lots of hard work but little to show for it. The Tottenham Hotspur system of three at the back allowed a CB to come out and follow Firmino into the spaces he usually takes. A perfect piece of tactical deployment from Pochettino. Taken off for Sturridge after 75 minutes.. Center Forward. Liverpool. ROBERTO FIRMINO. 5

6. Too many Spurs bodies defending deep meant that Coutinho had to come further back into the Liverpool midfield to get the ball. There he faced with a wall of white giving him no options for one-twos or through balls. Always able to get away from his man and kept working for the side. Forced a great save from Lloris with his only real chance.. Left Forward. Liverpool. PHILIPPE COUTINHO

Substitutions

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 6

Brought on after 30 minutes for the catastrophic Dejan Lovren. Finally got his wish to play in midfield! Flashed his pace and ball carrying ability.

Daniel Sturridge – 5

On for the last 15 minutes when we were 4-1 down. Has yet to offer us anything from the bench this season. Frustrating for him and for us.

Marko Grujic – 6

Getting some rare Premier League minutes with Wijnaldum out and the game out of reach for the Reds.
