Liverpool player ratings: Forwards

Liverpool. MOHAMED SALAH. 9. He is just racking up the goals and assists and is in a straight race with Coutinho and Mane as our best player. The formation was very fluid in the first 20 minutes and he was wide right, central and deep at various times. Helped start the move for the first goal and ran the length of the pitch to tuck it away. Found himself in an acre of space for his second which was a perfectly placed finish in the bottom right corner. He. Is. The. Business.. Right Forward

6. Playing the selfless central role that Klopp loves him to operate. had a wonderful chance to put us 3 goals up midway through the second half. He took it away from Winston Reid before putting it badly wide of the left post.. Center Forward. Liverpool. ROBERTO FIRMINO

8. A surprise inclusion in the team and a welcome return from injury. He raced away to start the counter attack for the first goal. He put it on a plate for Salah to bury. Took advantage of terrible defending from the Hammers to set up Salah’s second. Perhaps a game too soon for him to return and you have to think that if Coutinho was fit they would have given him more rest. Two assists is not bad though is it!. Left Forward. Liverpool. SADIO MANE

Substitutions

James Milner – 6

On for Mane to give the Senegalese star a rest before the international break. He should have put Salah in not long after he came on but couldn’t make the pass. Could have scored with a late chance.

On for the last three minutes for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to give another big body to mark Andy Carroll who had come on at half time.

Dominic Solanke – 6

A nice run just after coming on showing pace and strength as West Ham tired. Put the shot just wide.
