Liverpool stars are back in training after the international break and Jordan Henderson and Adam Lallana can hold back their excitement.

One person who is extra happy to be back in action is wounded player Lallana, who is yet to kick a ball in anger this season.

After picking up an injury during a pre-season game, the former Southampton man has undergone rehabilitation and is finally (nearly) ready to return to competition action.

There is one person who looks like he is a little more excited than the rest of us at this prospect: Henderson, who was papped clinging on to his back like a baby hugs his momma.

With Jurgen Klopp’s squad finally coming together at just the right moment (bar Nathaniel Clyne), things could look very positive for Liverpool in the coming weeks.

They are a few performances away from securing a position in the next round of the Champions League, and a convincing performance against Southampton at the weekend will go some way to dispelling the haters.

Alongside the seasoned pros, Klopp also had some talented youngsters to chose from – with defender Joe Gomez looking like the pick of the bunch right now.

After an assured performance against Neymar of Brazil as well as the entire German team, Gomez is in the form of his life and his place in the team looks to be assured.

But before any of that can be thought about, just look at the snap of Henderson and Lallana one more time and wish you had what they do.
