Liverpool player ratings: Midfield

JORDAN HENDERSON. 7. Lots of tidy possession keeping causing many Reds on Twitter to explode with unreasonable rage. Apparently a successful backwards or sideways pass is evidence of some kind of deficiency. Oh well. More worried about Eden Hazard running past him too easily than his passing. Overall a solid showing from the captain.. Center Midfield. Liverpool

Liverpool. JAMES MILNER. 5. In for the rested Gini Wijnaldum and did not have a great start to the game. He lost his feet and gave away possession before an awkward shot that was well wide. Looked short of pace for this level of football. Ended up at right wing back in the last few minutes.. Center Midfield

PHILIPPE COUTINHO. 7. Chelsea started with Kante, Drinkwater and Bakayoko in the middle to try and shut down Coutinho. They managed to do that in the first half with the Brazilian unable to grab hold of the game. After Liverpool had scored and Fabregas and Pedro had been added the game opened up for him on the counter attack.. Center Midfield. Liverpool
