Liverpool went through to the knockout stages of the Champions League tonight in style after a stunning 7-0 win at Anfield. Here are our player ratings.

There is nothing like a European night at Anfield. Tonight saw Liverpool win their final UEFA Champions League group game to top group E with 12 points and no losses. The Reds are now unbeaten in their last 10 games and head into the Merseyside derby at weekend with huge momentum.

Jurgen Klopp made five changes to the side that beat Brighton last Saturday. As has been the case throughout the group stage Loris Karius came in for Simon Mignolet in goal. Joe Gomez and Ragnar Klavan returned to the side after recovering from illness. Alberto Moreno came in at left back after a game’s rest.

The only other change was Sadio Mane coming back into the team to make a full complement of attackers. It was nice to see Philippe Coutinho be given the armband and he did not let his manager down scoring twice in the first 15 minutes to give Liverpool a great start.

One more in the second half sealed his hattrick to add to a brace from Mane and one each from Salah and Firmino to give each one of the ‘Fab Four’ a goal to remember.

Here are our Liverpool player ratings v Spartak Moscow:

Liverpool. LORIS KARIUS. 6. Made two errors in the handful of things he had to do including passing straight to the opposition when he had plenty of time.. Overall a quiet game for Karius on what could be his last appearance of the season for Liverpool. It will be interesting to see how Klopp handles the German keeper as the knockout stages begin..
