Liverpool player ratings: Forwards

9. The absolute business. Quick feet helped give him and inch of space on the right hand side. As soon as the ball was on his left foot there was only one outcome; a sumptuous curler into the top corner. Pickford wasn’t even in the same postcode. Had a header he put just wide in the second half before being rested for Firmino.. Center Forward. Liverpool. MOHAMED SALAH

A huge statement of trust from Klopp in Solanke. No one had the young Englishman in their predicted elevens. He was paired up front with Mohamed Salah and worked hard throughout the first half; holding the ball well and trying to find his teammates. Made way for Danny Ings when we needed a goal.. Center Forward. Liverpool. DOMINIC SOLANKE. 7

Substitutes

Roberto Firmino – 6

Replaced Mohamed Salah to give a more traditional two striker partnership with Solanke.

Next: Aubameyang to Everton rumors puts Reds in hysterics

Philippe Coutinho – 6

Missed his creativity for most of the game and he couldn’t grab hold in his 20 minutes

Danny Ings – 6

Great to see him back in a league game but it is sad that we had to throw him on to find a winner
