Liverpool Player Ratings: Forwards

8. Another game, another goal. Twenty now for the season and there is more than a week until Christmas. His teammates are looking to get the ball to him as early and often as possible. They know he is a special player in a great run of form and we are going to run this hot streak for as long as possible. His finish was a beautiful cut inside and a passed finish into the gaping wide hole in the left side of the goal.. Right Forward. Liverpool. MOHAMED SALAH

Liverpool. ROBERTO FIRMINO. 8. A goal and an assist. Did exceptionally well to put the ball in for Lovren’s goal with an overhead assist. In the second half he got on the end of Coutinho’s beautiful cross to flick the header past for Begovic for the 4-0 lead. It takes a four goal advantage to settle the nerves these days. Continues to produce as the least heralded member of the attacking quartet.. Center Forward

Left Forward. Liverpool. PHILIPPE COUTINHO. 9. Also with a goal and an assist. The opening goal was a nice bit of play with Robertson that led to the Brazilian fooling four defenders and tucking in a finish at the near post. His cross for Firmino’s goal was sumptuous. Was unlucky not to have a second goal with a trademark free kick that didn’t quite curl enough and hit the post. Just enjoying him while he is still ours!

Substitutes

Adam Lallana – 6

After a false start with injury earlier in the month he is now back and ready for game time. The 4-0 lead let him play a bit longer than in another situation.
