Liverpool Player Ratings: Midfield

6. It’s decent to have him as a rotation option in the busy season but we will not miss him when he inevitably leaves in 2018. He is not exactly coasting, he is trying at least, but he is not hitting anything better than 3rd gear. Handy to break up the Swansea attacks but there really wasn’t anything worrying from the Welshmen.. Center Midfield. Liverpool. EMRE CAN

Center Midfield. Liverpool. GINI WIJNALDUM. 7. A true box-to-box performance from the Dutchman. Was always willing to cover for Robertson and help him out when he needed. It was also bombing forward to get in on the action. One moment before half time saw him win back the ball just outside the Swansea box. A very decent 90 minutes that allowed the forwards to do their thing.

ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN. 7. Back in central midfield he is a nice complement to the other central players. He drifted towards the right a little too often crowding out space for Salah and Alexander-Arnold and also left us a little short in the middle at times. Slammed home his goal to give Liverpool the fifth goal. Good reward for his effort and growth in recent weeks.. Center Midfield. Liverpool
