Liverpool Player Ratings: Forwards

MOHAMED SALAH. 9. All that stress about missing chances then he just bangs a few in. Had three glorious attempts to equalize in the first half. One shot that went wide and another that was straight at Schmeichel. He also broke into an acre of space but did not drive straight at goal allowing Harry Maguire to get back and make a tackle before Salah gave away a free kick trying to win the ball back. Eventually got the equalizer in the second half after a couple of clever jinks to make space for the finish. His second was an emphatic finish after being played in by Milner.. Right Forward. Liverpool

7. I thought he was our best player in the first half making positive runs and getting chances. Should have scored his best chance but forced Schmeichel into a good save. Second half was quieter but helped out across the front line by closing down and causing problems.. Center Forward. Liverpool. ROBERTO FIRMINO

6. Had two goals (rightfully) disallowed for offside. Got an assist early in the second half finding Salah in the box. There has been comment about what is up with Sadio Mane, most of it an overreaction. Yet the longer this dip continues the more we will HAVE to talk about it. I’m not sure left forward gets the most out of him and I am certain that he doesn’t trust his hamstring yet. First player off making way for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.. Left Forward. Liverpool. SADIO MANE

Substitutes

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – 6

Surprising that he came on for Mane and not Can or Milner and gave us a nice energy boot heading into the last 20 minutes.

Gini Wijnaldum – 6

Replaced two goal hero Mohamed Salah and helped shore up against late Leicester attacks.

Ragnar Klavan – 6

A few shaky moments from the back four meant Klopp felt the need to throw Raggy on for Coutinho for the last 3 minutes.
