Liverpool Player Ratings: Forwards
SADIO MANE. 8. Kind of crazy to expect him to have a big impact on this game after flying back from Ghana last night. That he played 90 minutes is testament to how quickly a squad can get thin. Had little influence except to be a distraction. He did that job well enough but the Reds will need something nearer last season’s form once Coutinho moves on.. Right Forward. Liverpool
8. Thought he was going to knock Mason Holgate’s jaw clean off his head after the defender shoved him into the hoardings. There was no card for the Evertonian. You would hope the FA are going to look at that but knowing them they’ll let it go. They only player that offered a real ‘derby’ performance. He loves playing for the Reds and he loves beating the Blues.. Center Forward. Liverpool. ROBERTO FIRMINO
Another good showing from a player whose influence and importance is growing every week. He whipped the corner in for Virgil van Dijk’s winner. The Dutchman should have given Oxlade-Chamberlain another assist earlier but he headed the perfect free kick straight at the keeper. We haven’t had consistent set piece delivery since Gerrard left. Very encouraging.. Left Forward. Liverpool. ALEX OXLADE-CHAMBERLAIN. 7
Substitutes
Gini Wijnaldum- 7
Came on for Lallana after Everton had equalized and immediately improved the midfield. Should have started the game.

Domini Solanke – 6
Thrown on late in the game as the Reds were chasing a winner
Trent Alexander-Arnold- 6
On with Solanke to give some pace and width.
