Left Back: Andrew Robertson

The Scotsman must have known that Alberto Moreno was close to returning. Against Everton last week Andrew Robertson put in his best showing yet for Liverpool. He was exceptional at keeping Yannick Bolasie quiet despite being targeted early in the match.

He has made the position his own since his Spanish teammate got injured. Until then he had struggled to even make the match day squad. Moreno himself has done very well this year. His unexpected rejuvenation earned him the trust of Klopp in the first four months of the season.

But now we have a real competition between the two players. I would not be surprised if Klopp went back to Moreno in such a big game. Much will depend on the level of the Spaniard’s fitness.

However I think the combination of uncertainty over Moreno’s injury and off the back of a Man-of-the-Match performance that Robertson will get the start on Sunday.

He will face Raheem Sterling who is in the form of his life. The ex-Liverpool man is growing into all the potential he flashed at Anfield as a teenager. Robertson will have to put in another exceptional performance to keep Sterling quiet.
