Liverpool Player Ratings: Forwards

8. Started after a will-he-won’t-he week of speculation. Not at full pace after the hamstring strain but a 85% Salah is still more of a threat that most of the Premier League. Ederson’s poor clearance led to Salah scooping a shot over the keeper from 45 yards out. A relatively quiet game with only  the one worldy!. Right Forward. Liverpool. MOHAMED SALAH

9. Once again the <a href=. Center Forward. Liverpool. ROBERTO FIRMINO

8. Still not flowing in the confidence we are used to from the Senegalese forward. Taking a little too long to make decisions and then not quite executing what he wants to do. But then he goes and does something mad. A scorching left foot finish – one minute after rattling the post – sent us 3-1 up and well on the way to the rout. Made way for Lallana late on.. Left Forward. Liverpool. SADIO MANE

Substitutes

James Milner- 5

On for Emre Can and immediately made us more vulnerable. Too much pace and movement in the City side for Milner to keep up. At fault for the Bernardo Silva goal.

Next: Brendan Rodgers' signings ranked - all 32!

Adam Lallana- 7

Chased everything into the corners and made like hard for the City full backs.

Ragnar Klavan- n/a

On too late to make a difference.
