If this video of Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard doesn’t make you smile then nothing will.

The fantastic midfielder was excellent on the field, but like a lot of footballers is less accomplished when it comes to their time in front of the microphone.

And like Wayne Rooney from across the city, he’s got a favoured phrase that comes back again and again in media situations.

While Rooney favours an ‘eerrmmmm’, Gerrard goes with a ‘yeeahh course’ – and some brilliant person has made a compilation of the Liverpool man’s best bits.

It’s nothing as bad as a infamous Jay Spearing press conference in which he said ‘obviously’ 16 times in just 30 seconds. Which isn’t great, obviously.

The midfielder only started 26 times for the Reds, so when you say one word more in one half-minute presser than games you’ve started you know you’ve got problems.

It’s not like Reds fans need cheering up right now, especially after the incredible 4-3 win over Manchester City that moved Jurgen Klopp’s team up to third.

Gerrard hardly needs to be loved any more right now, but this video has to bring a smile to the face of all true Kopities.

Right now, the legend is getting ready to prepare his Liverpool U18 team to their FA Cup third round tie to Arsenal.

They have only lost once all season and are top of the table and so will be going into the clash with a good deal of confidence.
