Liverpool player ratings: Forwards

7. Unsurprisingly Salah was Liverpool’s best threat in the first half. He had an excellent chance to grab the lead but could not find then net from van Dijk’s excellent looped ball. He tried to hit in on the volley, despite good connection it went way over. Swansea’s defense were smart to shepherd him on to his right foot as much as possible, helping to nullify the threat of the Egyptian.. Right Forward. Liverpool. MOHAMED SALAH

5. A very poor first half from Firmino who has an <a href=. Center Forward. Liverpool. ROBERTO FIRMINO

6. Should have equalized just before half time after a quick break sent Mohamed Salah free who put the ball over for Mane. However he lost his footing and put the excellent chance wide of the goal. No lack of energy or effort from the front three but the Swansea back five held firm on the edge of the box.. Left Forward. Liverpool. SADIO MANE

Substitutes

Adam Lallana- 6

On for Oxlade-Chamberlain to try and spice up the midfield. He had some good turns and nice movement but need more minutes to be truly up to the pace of the Premier League.

Danny Ings- 6

Replaced Gini Wijlnaldum as Klopp conceded a player in the middle of the park to have five true attackers. Did well with whatever came his way and helped set up Firmino’s last minute miss.
