4/5. This deal was a bit of a curveball and it’s fair to say that it’s incredibly unlikely ever to happen. At 29-years-old, Gomez doesn’t really fit the profile for transfers. <p>He also plays through the middle and Liverpool already have good players who can do that. It doesn’t really make sense splashing out for the player. Gomez did have an excellent campaign last season, with 16 goals and 10 assists.
