No. 2: Sweet Revenge

Make no mistake; Jurgen Klopp drew a ring around this one on October 23rd 2017. The Liverpool manager was as angry and frustrated as I’ve seen him after our fixture against Spurs earlier in the season.

His Liverpool side had no opportunity to run their game plan as catastrophic errors  – two from Dejan Lovren and general Mignolet uselessness – put the Reds on the back foot. Spurs are the most balanced side in the Premier League. If you give them a lead they are very comfortable keeping it.

Despite two early gifts to the hosts Liverpool played their way back into the game courtesy of Mohamed Salah special. Another error at the break put the game beyond our reach.

Klopp is highly competitve. Don’t let the smiles, laughs and hugs fool you. He especially likes beating his peers. Despite never winning a damn thing Pochettino probably has a better reputation as coach in England at the moment.

That says as much about silly media bias than anything but it is plenty motivation for Klopp to dial-up a game plan to assert his dominance over his rival. Just ask Pep Guardiola.
