He has designed a host of Liverpool first team players including Sadio Mane celebrating his recent goal against Manchester City in the Adidas ‘Carlsberg’ 1993-5 kit; Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also celebrating his goal against City in the1985-6 Adidas ‘Crown Paints’ kit; Virgil van Dijk looking magnificent in orange after his match winner on his debut in the Reebok ‘Carlsberg’ kit from 2000-2; and the Egyptian King Mohamed Salah in the classic 1992-3 Adidas ‘Carlsberg’ design.

While he is clearly a Liverpool fan he has also branched out to take on some iconic kits from other clubs. Most appealing for Reds will be his take on Emre Can in the West Germany kit from the 1990 World Cup – one of the all time coolest football kits.

You may be so in love with one (or all) of these designs that you want to buy a print of them. Well you can! Jimmy has his own Etsy shop where you can buy many of his brilliant Liverpool prints.

The Liverpool kits of recent seasons have been classic in appearance but muted in style. There is little of the flair that marked so many of those shirt designs from the mid 80’s through to the 2000’s.

Next: This is the back four we want against Southampton

The only interesting kits we get these days are the away numbers and they can range from the sublime to the ridiculous to the very, very orange.
