Liverpool fans can’t believe how much goalkeeper Loris Karius has improved as they beat Southampton in the Premier League on Sunday.
The German goalkeeper has recently replaced Belgian Simon Mignolet has manager Jurgen Klopp’s first choice league stopper.
And he showed why Klopp has so much faith in his ability with a fine series of saves and an all round composed afternoon.
Saints have been poor going forward all season but Karius still had some work to do and commanded the area well.

Rush The Kop gave him a match rating of 8/10, as did the Liverpool Echo, the Mirror and the Express.
Such a uniformity of opinion across national titles is rare and it reflects the good work that the former Bundesliga man did.

Fans who watched the game couldn’t believe what they were watching either as the 24-year-old displayed remarkable improvements from his earlier form.

Regardless of what you think of the transfer window, there is no need to complain. Life as a Liverpool fan is good 👌🏼
If he continues in this fashion Klopp will have a serious decision to make at the end of the season in regards to buying a new No. 1. It will also give Mignolet some food for thought about the direction of his career.
The former Sunderland man has been the main man at Anfield since his arrival, but has never convinced in that role.
Liverpool take on Porto in the Champions League on Wednesday night and it will be really interesting to see who starts that game between the sticks.
Klopp has rotated his non-league goalkeeper in for continental fixtures, but with the stakes so high he couldn’t be blamed for sticking with Karius.

After Manchester United lost to Newcastle United, there are now only two points between the Reds in third and the Red Devils in second. Liverpool play West Ham at home on Saturday 24th while United have a huge game against Chelsea on the 25th.
