4. Mane Hattrick Goal

In a way you could list all of Mane’s goals from last night on this list. The opener was crucial to give Liverpool the upper hand and allow the Reds to play the game they want to; high press and quick counter. His second goal was the end of a flowing move and settled the match, and perhaps the tie, at 3-0.

However his third goal was the best finish of the bunch and maybe the most important for the rest of the season.

It has been clear to everyone that Sadio Mane has not been playing at his highest level consistently this season. Though it is worth noting he scored 13 goals in a stellar debut year. In this supposedly down season he already has 12 to his name.

He is such a good player that he is going to get goals. But it is the confidence and elite decision-making that has been missing this term.

A hattrick does the world of good to a player’s confidence. A fully flowing Sadio Mane takes this attack to scary levels. The team have been riding the stunning form of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino. If all three are flying then Liverpool have an excellent chance of reaching their goals.
