Liverpool are back in action this weekend after a long ten day break. Here is the back four we want against West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday.

It feels like forever since Liverpool took the field at Porto in the Champions League win. The 5-0 drubbing has been followed by a ten-day break over the FA Cup weekend. The Reds made the most of their Iberian trip by hopping over to Marbella for a mid-season warm weather training camp.

Now they are gearing up for a crucial Premier League game against West Ham at Anfield. It is a rare Saturday 3pm home kick off and the Kop will have sky-high expectation after recent games. Liverpool cruised to a 4-1 win against the Hammers in London in November.

Since that win West Ham have fired Slavan Bilic and installed ex-Everton and Manchester United coach David Moyes. That will only add to supporters hopes of a decisive win on Saturday.

The Scottish manager is more defensively minded but has never won a game at Anfield in 14 attempts. Jurgen Klopp could go with a more attack minded team to combat those cautious tactics.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain started and scored against the Hammers in November. He is usually a part of the midfield when the manager wants to take more risks. The question for us is; how risky does he want to be with the Liverpool back four?

There is much less pressure on Liverpool’s second leg against Porto after the big away win. My guess is that Klopp will not rest players on Saturday and is likely to try to put West Ham to the sword.
