Left Back: Andrew Robertson

Very tentatively Liverpool fans are wondering if the club have finally solved the left back position. It could be easily lost in the raft of good performances against Porto but Robertson was excellent. For such a young player to shine in a European away game was special.

His defending is the most consistent part of his game. How often have we been able to say that of the holders of this position over the last two decades.

His offensive displays have a greater range of standards. The days where his crossing is slightly off sometimes make him ineffectual. Though those games are increasingly a rarity.

He is finally developing some good understanding with Sadio Mane on the left side. When Gini Wijnaldum plays the Reds look very strong and assured down the left hand side of the pitch. Van Dijk as the left-sided center back has not hurt that either.

I think Klopp will load up with both his young attacking full backs on Saturday. West Ham better be ready because they are going to be tearing up the flanks this weekend.
