Liverpool fans are loving this classic Old Trafford throwback
Liverpool fans are loving this classic Old Trafford throwback from when the Reds beat Manchester United 4-1 away from home.
It was a day that didn’t start the right way for the Reds as Cristiano Ronaldo slotted home a penalty following a Pepe Reina error, but by the end the traveling Koppites didn’t have a care in the world.
Watching Fernando Torres bully Nemanja Vidic off the ball, sprint past the Serb and bury it in the back of Edwin van der Sar’s net must have been some sight to behold – as would Steven Gerrard’s penalty, Fábio Aurélio’s amazing free kick and a jaw-dropping lob by Andrea Dossena.
It was the only goal the Italian scored for the club, but you’d happily take it and run off into the sunset to live out your days as a happy man.

Key players such as Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane should all be fresh for the game as none of the trio played a full 90 minutes against Porto during the week. Against a tough defense and a master tactician, they could make all the difference.
