Liverpool fans can’t get over this amazing picture of manager Jurgen Klopp in a snowball fight.

The German manager is known for his passion and, paradoxically, his laid back style (just count how many times he says the word ‘cool’ in a press conference).

And here is a snap of Klopp looking his ferocious best. Teeth gritted, hair flying, specs slightly askew, the former Dortmund boss is captured just as he’s about to launch his chosen projectile. And Reds fans love it.

This little insights into the inner workings of a football club can be rare and are often stage managed – just think about football ‘behind the scenes’ documentaries. But this is a genuine moment and it’s brilliant.

Spare a thought for a poor sod at the end of Kloppo’s freezing weapon. What did he do wrong? Perhaps it was Adam Lallana, not pressing with the correct intensity. Or perhaps Mohamed Salah, for just smiling too much.

Whatever the season, it’s heartening to see the club enjoying their time in training before a massive game against Manchester United on Saturday – and fans on Reddit thought so too.

That fixture really could be season defining. With so little time left before the end of the season, Liverpool have to win it if they are going to embark their assault on second in the league. Lose and they’ll be five points behind the Red Devils. Win, and they’re the new runners up.

Every natural is surely rooting for Klopp’s side. Who is going to look at the styles of the two sides and want the plodding, bus parking, maniacal Jose Mourinho to triumph?

But United’s threat still has to be taken seriously. They possess and excellent, highly decorated squad with superb options up front.

At least if it all goes belly up Liverpool can rely on Klopp, snowball in hand, to render the best of Mourinho’s side useless with an icey volley.
