Liverpool snuck out a 2-1 win against Crystal Palace in the Premier League. Here are our Liverpool player ratings v Palace.

It looked for a long time to be ‘one of those days’ but Mohamed Salah doesn’t have days like that. He only does good days. Liverpool grabbed a 2-1 win at Selhurst Park to take the Reds to second in the table and put pressure on both Chelsea and Spurs tomorrow.

There were two injury enforced changes from the side that started the 5-0 evisceration of Watford. That game saw Emre Can leave with an injury that kept him out today and Joe Gomez is also out for 3-4 weeks with the ankle injury he picked up on international duty. In came James Milner and Trent Alexander-Arnold respectively.

The game was off to a bad start when the Reds conceded a penalty in the first 12 minutes. The rest of the first half was not much better with Liverpool looking frustrated and poor in possession.

The second half was a different matter as the Reds looked well up for getting back into it.  Three minutes after the break Sadio Mane slammed home an equalizer to force Hodgson’s side out of their defensive shell.

An injury to Adam Lallana shortly after coming forced a change to three at the back which worked well to force our full backs forward which led to Mo Salah’s late winner.

Here are the Liverpool player ratings v Crystal Palace:

7. A fantastic early save from Zaha was negated by giving away a terrible penalty to the same player. The save was excellent; rushing out early. He tried it again for the penalty but was too slow and clattered the winger. Another quality save in the second half made this a net gain for the German keeper.. Goalkeeper. Liverpool. LORIS KARIUS
